City Parade

Saturday, June 6, 2015

Luke participated in the high school parade band this summer. They had several rehearsals before school ended and then their first parade was for our city's founder's celebration that they do every year the first week in June. We decided to take the family to the parade to see Luke. It was a little cold at first but then it warmed up into a beautiful day - not too hot or sunny. The younger girls thought it was a lot of fun getting the free candy and trinkets that was thrown to them! We were towards the end of the parade so some of the groups had already passed out all of their candy, but they still got plenty.

Apparently Kitty was not too happy to be there!
But I got a smile from M&M!
MJ and Kay playing with some streamers that were thrown our way.
They let any of the kids from the middle schools and high school participate in the summer parade band - so the band was bigger than they march for the fall marching season.
The girls thought that this walking ice cream cone was really cute.
