We luckily had a very nice clear day to go up the monument and see the sights. I don't remember ever being able to see the temple so clearly in the past when I have gone up. You could see all 6 spires of the temple. I remember in the past having to stand in line for several hours to go up the monument. The line would wrap around the base of the monument several times. Now you have to go to the monument and get tickets for a specific time. They say that during the peak tourist times (summer mostly) the tickets for the whole day are gone within the first half hour of opening the ticket booth. Unfortunately no system is perfect...
