The HUGE impact of bloggers

There was a small plane crash a couple of weeks ago in Arizona involving an LDS couple by the names of Christian & Stephanie Nielson. The pilot died in the crash and Christian & Stephanie were both severely burned. Family & friends of theirs are hosting hundreds of fundraising auctions today and through the weekend to help raise money for their medical bills and care of their four small children. Stephanie grew up in Provo and her dad is a member of the Utah State House of Representatives. Stephanie has a blog entitled NieNie Dialogues that has a huge following of faithful readers. While I don't know the family personally, I know that her blog has touched many people. Plus, who can resist someone with such an awesome name?!? She actually found my blog a couple of years ago through a sister of a sister-in-law and emailed me about the name connection. It's been amazing to see the huge outpouring of love and support for this family that most of us only know through the blogging world.
