Unfortunately my camera stinks and I have a hard time taking any good indoor pictures, but I thought these were some cute ones even if they are a little blurry...  The younger girls love making and giving presents to their dad.

We had my parents over for dinner for Father's Day this year.  MJ and Kay love to help open presents - especially when there is candy in them!

And we had a little mishap with the grill and had to use a fire extinguisher on it...  Always have to add some drama some how!

Church was kind of nice because all 3 of Tan's kids are in the same primary classes as our kids.  I think that always helps when you are visiting a new ward - to be able to go to class with someone you know!  After church we had dinner and then started trying to get things ready to leave for Island Park, ID the following morning!

Birthday & Father's Day

DH's birthday was on Father's Day this year and it was also the first day of our family reunion at Mossyrock. We started out the day by checking out of our hotel room early so we could make it to 9 a.m. church with my brother and his family. We just stayed for Sacrament Meeting and then headed down to Mossyrock where DH's parents rented a vacation rental home for the reunion. It was a beautiful, scenic drive. We got there before everyone else so we let the kids out of the car and changed out of our Sunday clothes and just ran around exploring until DH's mom came with the key to let us in!

Here's a picture of our kids with my brother's oldest boy, E. I love the cute smiles - especially on MJ and E! I also love the GREEN in the background!! That's a color that we don't find too often here in Utah!
The kids and I gave DH some pistachios and a new shirt for Father's Day and then his big present for his birthday was a DSLR camera! We have been looking at buying one for a while now and I decided that now is the time that we would use it the most - while the kids are young and involved in sports and school programs and things. DH's parents pitched in to help pay for it and I also got him a few essential accessories so he could start using it right away - a camera bag, memory card, zoom lens. I had M&M wrap all the presents before we left our house and then we packed them already wrapped in our luggage. We had fun trying to keep everything hidden from DH. When DH was loading my bag into the car he commented on how big and heavy it was - little did he know at the time that I had packed the camera in there with my things! :) Now he has the fun task of trying to figure out how to best use it so we can take some awesome pictures with it!

I'm not quite sure what MJ is doing in these pictures! Maybe she just wanted to make sure that I didn't forget that she turned 11 months old on her Dad's birthday!

Birthday & Father's Day

So after his fun dental procedure on Thursday, we celebrated DH's birthday on Saturday and then celebrated Father's Day on Sunday. DH opened some presents (with a lot of help from Kay) and then after Kitty's ballet recital we had some dinner and then chocolate cake with homemade peach ice cream. My parents came over after the recital to give DH his present and ended up staying for dinner and cake as well.Some non-prescription sunglasses to replace the cheap plastic ones given to him by the eye surgeon in January. It's been an expensive year so far for us - Lasik surgery, a tooth implant, and the new baby that can come any day now! :)
Kay was pretty funny with the presents because DH would be looking over something that he was given and Kay would pick up the next present and start to unwrap it without him.

On Sunday the kids wrapped some presents for DH and then after church my parents came over for dinner again. Happy Father's Day to a great husband and dad!

Here is a picture of DH with Luke, Kitty & Blondie. He is wearing his new (pink) tie that the girls picked out for him... He also got a new belt that hopefully doesn't squeak and a left-handed baseball mitt so he can play catch with the kids (M&M and Luke start T-ball tomorrow).

Happy Father's Day!

The kids were all very excited to give DH his Father's Day presents!! I think I've decided that the kids won't help anymore with the buying & wrapping of gifts. On one of the gifts, DH asked Blondie if she knew what it was - she said, "Yes, it's a Star Wars CD". So much for keeping secrets...

Blondie also really liked the big candy bar that they gave him...
