Hometown fun

July 16 & 17, 2015

It was a weird week with DH, Blondie and M&M all gone on camps with the ward. I decided to take the other kids out for some fun while the rest were gone. On Thursday evening I took the kids to Copperton Park for some fun and then on Friday we went to a local splash park.

Family History Department Family Activity

The Family History Department of the church that DH's works for tries to have a family activity/social once a year that is usually held at a park with dinner served and activities for the kids. This year all of our kids were able to attend and they had a blast! They served a Cafe Rio dinner - which some of the kids didn't care for - and then there were snow cones, inflatable activities, pinatas, face painting, and balloon animals. After we ate we found that some of the lines for the face painting were short so I had the kids that wanted their faces painted get in line so we could get that taken care of first. Then they had some balloon animals made and then Kay and MJ took off for the slides. The older kids went to throw Luke's frisbee and got it stuck on the roof of a building. After some trial and error we were finally able to get it down! The kids all participated in one of the inflatables which was an obstacle course race. It was funny watching Luke and M&M go up against each other!

On our way there, our minivan hit 100,000 miles!

Trying out a new park not too far from our house. The kids had a blast enjoying the nice fall weather!

New, updated playground

They recently updated the playground at our neighborhood park and I took the kids there while they were off track to try it out.  Overall I think they liked it but they missed a few things from the old playground too.

Kitty is the one hanging by one arm.

This is a new type of electronic game where you run around and hit the lights when they light up.  The kids seemed to enjoy it.

Took the kids back to Copperton Park for some fun in the cool of the evening.  It was the first time that M&M and Luke have been to that park.

MJ was not too happy that Luke was scaring her in the tunnel...
