M&M lettered in Spring Track & Field again this year. She went to the regional meet in the long jump but didn't make it further than that. She jumped a personal best but it was a little frustrating because they never took the time to practice it. I think she could have jumped a lot farther if she had had more practice and more coaching on technique. It has been such a drain on her time and energy that she doesn't think she will participate in it next year.

M&M ran the 100 meter sprint as well as the 4x100 relay. She usually doesn't run that relay but someone was missing from the usual group so M&M was asked to fill in. This is a hard relay because it is all about the exchanges. M&M was put on to anchor the relay. The whole team had good exchanges and they ended up winning the relay!

M&M participated in Spring Track & Field at her school again this year. Here she is doing the long jump and her first time running the 400 meter race.

M&M lettered in Track & Field this year because she was chosen to compete at the district level in the long jump for the school.  She was a little surprised that she lettered but happy as well.  

Also as a side note - M&M has contacts now!  No more glasses!  We also tried contacts for Luke but he wasn't able to put them in so we may have to wait another year or two for him (although he really, really wanted them).

M&M decided to try out the track team this year.  She started working out with the team in the winter season and then ran sprints in the spring season as well as trying out the long jump.  Unfortunately with the new medication I was switched to and some sickness that I had associated with that, this was the only meet of hers that I was able to attend.  She ran in the 100 meter, 1600 meter (1 mile - she was trying out just for fun), and then she ran a 200 meter leg in the medley relay.  It was fun watching her and trying to get some good pictures.
