We had a weird summer hailstorm!

They built a new splash park in our city that opened towards the end of summer.  Since the kids were still off track when we got back from Washington, I took them over there one afternoon after lunch.  There is a nice family across the street from us with 5 kids and our girls really enjoy playing with their two older girls - one of them is a little bit younger than Kitty and the other is a little bit older than MJ.  Since the younger one is not in school yet, I invited her to come with us so the girls had a lot of fun playing with her as well.  The splash park was super fun for the kids - we will definitely go there again next summer!

Fun in the sun

We finally hit summertime here and so I broke out the swimming pool for the kids. We went from nice pleasant weather in the 70s to 90 degree temperatures in just a matter of a day or two. My ankles are not liking the change in temperature so that is one thing that I am definitely looking forward to once this pregnancy is over!

Kay was super excited when I was filling up the pool and by the end of playing she was laying down on her stomach and pushing herself around on the bottom of it. I also got out the slip-n-slide for the kids to use as well.
