It's never too late to get your Valentine cookies made! (Yes we made them a few days late this year!)  I actually think that I  had made the dough several days earlier but we didn't get around to baking and frosting them until the 17th.

Kitty and Blondie had to make Valentine's Day boxes for their school Valentines.  They both wanted to be a little more creative this year so Blondie made a box that was wrapped like a present and then Kitty made her box to look like a stove/oven unit.

I had the cookie dough all ready to make some Valentine Day cookies but for one reason or another we didn't get around to it until the day after.  Better late than never though - and this is one of my favorite sugar cookie recipes.  Plus the kids enjoy decorating them.  My parents were stopping by our house to drop off a few things for us right when we were decorating them so they helped us out as well.

MJ just wanted to eat the frosting.  I gave her a decorated cookie and she just licked the frosting off and then asked for more.

Why is it that kids feel they must COVER a cookie with candies? Isn't just one or two good enough?
