Swimming with cousins

Spent some time after school with my family at the pool. The girls enjoyed playing with their cousins!

Bear Lake Family Reunion - Day 1 & 2

July 26-27, 2015

My family gathered together at Bear Lake for a few days. My parents rented a home there for 3 nights. Out of the 7 of us kids, 5 were able to come with our families. We missed my oldest sister and her family as well as my younger brother and his family...

We arrived on Sunday afternoon. It was pretty cool and windy at the beach the first day we were there. Along with the rental home came passes to the Ideal Beach Resort on Bear Lake. They have a lot of amenities there plus a beach front where you can access the lake.

After we got to the rental home we ate dinner and then most of us headed off to the beach to take a look at it - and most of the kids got in the water at least a little bit.

On Monday we spent some time at the beach playing in the lake and the resort pool and hot tub. Then most of us played miniature golf and afterwards the kids spent some time playing at the playground before we headed back to the house.

Ladder that leads up to the loft - where unfortunately MJ pushed one of her younger cousins off of our first day at the home and it was a rough night because of that. He hurt is leg and was inconsolable and we weren't sure how serious it was. Thankfully he was back to normal after a couple of days but didn't want to put any weight on it while we were there at the reunion.

Hometown fun

It was a weird week with DH, Blondie and M&M all gone on camps with the ward. I decided to take the other kids out for some fun while the rest were gone. On Thursday evening I took the kids to Copperton Park for some fun and then on Friday we went to a local splash park.

Splash park

They built a new splash park in our city that opened towards the end of summer. Since the kids were still off track when we got back from Washington, I took them over there one afternoon after lunch. There is a nice family across the street from us with 5 kids and our girls really enjoy playing with their two older girls - one of them is a little bit younger than Kitty and the other is a little bit older than MJ. Since the younger one is not in school yet, I invited her to come with us so the girls had a lot of fun playing with her as well. The splash park was super fun for the kids - we will definitely go there again next summer!
