M&M had to do a Rube Goldberg Project for her science class. Here is a link to her explanation and then the execution of it:
This first link is a bigger file that has the two combined. The last two clips are smaller files.

Wow, that was the coolest thing I've seen all day! How long did it take to devise it and stage it all? Were there any failed attempts?
M&M and I worked on it for a good portion of the day on Saturday. She had to have at least 7 steps to it with at least 2 different types of simple machines. We constructed it all from things around the house. M&M even made the starting spiral ramp out of construction paper. We were almost ready to tape when we realized that she couldn't have the same type of machine one right after the other so we had to figure out something to add in-between at the last minute. We spent a good chunk of the arfternoon trying to make a pulley but we ended up scrapping it because we couldn't get it to work consistently the way we wanted. And yes there were many failed attempts when the cars didn't hit the dominoes quite right or the marble didn't hit the car hard enough or the egg at the end turned and ran into the side of the markers...
It took forever...
